For the fifth time, JOINT ADVENTURES is inviting choreographers, dancers, film and (multi-)media artists to develop new aesthetic approaches and visual languages for choreography and film in a 60-second ad format in the CHOREOGRAPHIC CAPTURES context.
We are searching for works that operate choreographically with the film medium, react creatively towards movement, leave room for experimentation and initiate unusual aesthetic dialogues with the film audience: “Expanded Choreography”. The objective is to discover the endless choreographic possibilities within film – with, but also separated from the moving body in front of a camera, as well as in editing, rhythm, abstraction or animation.

岐阜県立国際情報科学芸術アカデミー第15期生卒業制作展
2012 年2 月、IAMAS（イアマス）は「IAMAS 2012」と題して、情報科学芸術大学院大学修了研究発表会および岐阜県立国際情報科学芸術アカデミー卒業制作展を開催します。
本学にはデザインやアート、情報科学を中心にしつつも、それに留まらない多彩なバックグラウンドを持つ人材が参集します。この環境の中で学生は日夜議論を交わし、互いに刺激し、協力し合いながら個々の専門性を活かした研究を行ってきました。
その2 年間の集大成の発表の場が「IAMAS 2012」です。これまでの卒業生たちもここから世界に羽ばたき、国内外で高い評価を得てきました。それぞれが自らの才能を開かせ、社会に対して新しい領野を拓くその瞬間に、どうぞご期待いただきたいと思います。
また今回で大学院大学は第10 回目の修了研究発表会、アカデミーは第15 回目の卒業制作展となりますが、アカデミーは本年度最終卒業生をもって閉校し、IAMAS は大学院大学に一本化します。したがいまして「IAMAS 2012」はアカデミーの最後を飾る卒業制作展であり、大学院大学にとっても新しいスタジオ編成後の最初の修了研究発表会となります。これまでも時代の中で様々に変化し続けてきたIAMAS にとって、また一つの節目となる本展覧会をぜひじっくりとご鑑賞ください。

Gaga Intensive Summer Course in Tel Aviv, to be held from July 22 - August 3, 2012
We are happy to announce the Gaga Intensive Summer Course in Tel Aviv, to be held from July 22 - August 3, 2012!
Intensive Details
Ohad Naharin and Batsheva dancers offer an intensive summer workshop for professional dancers and dance students age 18+.
The Gaga Intensive Summer Course will be held from July 22 - August 3, 2012 from 10:00 to 16:30 each day (please note that Fridays will be half days and Saturday is a day off). The schedule includes Gaga/dancers classes, Gaga methodics classes, and repertory.
Classes will take place at Batsheva's studios in the Suzanne Dellal Centre, 6 Yechieli Street in Tel Aviv, and at additional studios.
Price: 2600 NIS
Please note that participants are responsible for their own travel, food, and housing arrangements as well as for providing their own health insurance that will cover medical care in Israel for the duration of the program.
It is not possible to attend only part of the intensive. Dancers who register are expected to participate in the entire program.
Registration Information
We have limited space for only 160 dancers. Registration will close when we have 160 dancers enrolled, so we urge you to sign up as soon as possible. Once we have filled these spots, we will maintain a wait list in case dancers cancel. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have received confirmation of your acceptance and have paid the deposit.
To register for the course, fill out the online form on Gaga's website, www.gagapeople.com (please make sure to answer all the questions and click submit at the bottom). Then send your CV (in English or Hebrew, and in .doc or .pdf format) and a photo of yourself to gagaint@gmail.com to complete your file.
Once we have received all of your materials and reviewed them, we will contact you to notify you of your acceptance. You will then be required to pay a 500 NIS deposit and will receive instructions on how to pay this securely online via PayPal. The remaining 2100 NIS of the workshop fee will be due in cash or by credit card at our on-site registration on Saturday evening, July 21.
Discount for Returning Participants
Dancers who have attended previous Gaga Intensives in Tel Aviv will receive a 15% discount on the total fee for the summer course.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel prior to June 22, we will refund 50% of your deposit. After June 22, we will not refund any of your deposit unless we can fill the space.
Registering for the summer course indicates a commitment to attend the Intensive. If you have reserved a spot and have a change of plans, we ask that you notify us of your cancellation as soon as possible.

ReelDance is currently inviting submissions of Australian and international screen dance work in the following categories*:

ReelDance is an internationally recognised arts organisation supporting innovative collaborative practice across dance, film and new media art. We provide a forum for dance screen culture, developing and defining this artistic field of practice in Australia and New Zealand, and promoting local work both nationally and internationally.
ReelDance curates, presents and consults on programs of single and multi-screen works for exhibitions, broadcast and festivals. Other activities include professional development for those working in the field of dance screen through workshops and forums, creating distribution opportunities for Australian dance filmmakers. Also, ReelDance has established the Moving Image Collection, a significant archive of Australian and New Zealand dance screen works.

SCREENDANCE WORKSHOP BY JEANNETTE GINSLOV
Independent Media Artist for new media, screens & internet

MA Choreography (Rhodes University 1998)
This workshop will explore the genre of Screendance – the medium and its outcomes. Through set exercises and improvisations we will dance with and for the moving camera, explore choreography and movement for the dancer and camera, use formal and experimental ways of shooting, with improvisations, scores and storyboards. We will investigate how to capture the kinaesthetic, the emotional, authentic and concrete experience with the camera and finally amplify this with the “edit in camera” process. The workshop highlights the influence of postmodern dance practice as well as the cinematic genre of Dogme 95 and a non-linear filmic practice. Working in teams, each team will produce a 2-3 minute dance video. This may be an edit in camera process or if the participants have laptops and editing software may edit their own dance video. There will be a short module on “Documenting your performances & rehearsals”, uploading and using social media platforms to publicize, promote and share work.
Participants are asked to bring their own cameras, no matter what make or age and editing software, iMovie or FCP, if you have it and are interested in editing!
