gm tenにて、5月22日（土）にオーストラリア人のダニエル・ワイルドのワークショップを開催致します。ダニエラは現在東京大学の石川小室研究所に1年間のリサーチャーとして日本を訪れているアーティストです。今回、ダニエラは参加者と共に自由な発想から身体に身につける装置を工作し、新たな身体性を捉えるワークショップを行います。小さなワークショップですが、ダニエラの研究テーマをまとめた簡単なスライドレクチャーも行いますので是非ご興味ある方はご参加下さい。


日時：5月22日（土）1回目 14時～16時、2回目 18時～20時
料金：500円（1drink）定員各回10名　
内容：加工のしやすいシンプルな素材を使って身体に身につけるものを工作します。
備考：材料はこちらでも用意していますが、段ボール、毛糸、プラスチック、フェルト、紙など不要な素材があればご持参下さい。

麻布十番駅（大江戸線／南北線）の４番出口を出て左にある「スマイル薬局」前の信号を渡ります。「さわやか信用金庫」と同じ並びにある「やきとん」という飲食店が入ったビルの3階です。

ダニエル・ワイルド
現在、東京大学の石川小室メタ認知研究所に研究者として来日しているオースタリア人アーティストであり、テクノロジー・リサーチャーです。ロンドン王立美術大学でインタラクション・デザインの修士号を取得し、メルボルンのモナシュ大学（ファイン・アート）とCSIRO（材料科学と工学部）の博士過程の４年目に在籍。
彼女が実践していることは、パフォーマンス、ファイン・アート、批評的デザイン（テクノロジー）、またはインタラクション・デザインの境界をより分かりやすくするものです。そのリサーチは（ジェスチャー、機械的、感覚的に）身体拡張によって私たちの詩的、表現的ポテンシャルをどのように、身体的に身につけるテクノロジーによって、拡張することが可能なのかについて疑問を提示します。それは結果として、未だ私たちが想像だにしないテクノロジーをどのように生み出し、発展させることができるのかについての、パフォーマンスや演劇、または探索的オブジェといった装置を含むものです。ダニエルは、広く世界で、定期的に出版、展示、パフォーマンスを行っており、その作品で多くの賞を受賞しています。

If you could have anything, what would it be? What would it look like? Can you make it? Can you carry it with you? How would you wear it? We will work together making exploratory objects with simple materials: yarn, cardboard, plastic, fabric, paper. 


Date：Saturday 22 May 2010（土）1回目 : 2-4pm. 2回目 : 6-8pm

Danielle Wilde is an Australian artist & technology researcher currently visiting the Ishikawa Komuro Laboratory Meta Perception Group at Tokyo University. She has an MA in Interaction Design from the Royal College of Art in London, and is in the 4th year of her PhD at Monash University in Melbourne (Fine Art) and CSIRO (Materials Science and Engineering).

Danielle’s practice blurs boundaries between performance, fine art, critical (technology) and interaction design. Her research questions how we might extend our poetic and expressive potential by extending the body – gesturally, mechanically and sensorially – with body-worn technologies. Outcomes include devices for performance and play, and exploratory objects that question how we might conceive of and develop technologies that we can't yet imagine.
