Intensive Details
Ohad Naharin and Batsheva dancers offer an intensive summer workshop for professional dancers and dance students age 18+.
The Gaga Intensive Summer Course will be held from July 22 - August 3, 2012 from 10:00 to 16:30 each day (please note that Fridays will be half days and Saturday is a day off). The schedule includes Gaga/dancers classes, Gaga methodics classes, and repertory.
Classes will take place at Batsheva's studios in the Suzanne Dellal Centre, 6 Yechieli Street in Tel Aviv, and at additional studios.
Price: 2600 NIS
Please note that participants are responsible for their own travel, food, and housing arrangements as well as for providing their own health insurance that will cover medical care in Israel for the duration of the program.
It is not possible to attend only part of the intensive. Dancers who register are expected to participate in the entire program.
Registration Information
We have limited space for only 160 dancers. Registration will close when we have 160 dancers enrolled, so we urge you to sign up as soon as possible. Once we have filled these spots, we will maintain a wait list in case dancers cancel. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have received confirmation of your acceptance and have paid the deposit.
To register for the course, fill out the online form on Gaga's website, www.gagapeople.com (please make sure to answer all the questions and click submit at the bottom). Then send your CV (in English or Hebrew, and in .doc or .pdf format) and a photo of yourself to gagaint@gmail.com to complete your file.
Once we have received all of your materials and reviewed them, we will contact you to notify you of your acceptance. You will then be required to pay a 500 NIS deposit and will receive instructions on how to pay this securely online via PayPal. The remaining 2100 NIS of the workshop fee will be due in cash or by credit card at our on-site registration on Saturday evening, July 21.
Discount for Returning Participants
Dancers who have attended previous Gaga Intensives in Tel Aviv will receive a 15% discount on the total fee for the summer course.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel prior to June 22, we will refund 50% of your deposit. After June 22, we will not refund any of your deposit unless we can fill the space.
Registering for the summer course indicates a commitment to attend the Intensive. If you have reserved a spot and have a change of plans, we ask that you notify us of your cancellation as soon as possible.
